Privacy policy
Effective July 28, 2026. This policy explains how JobSurferAI.com handles information during the private beta.
1. Information you provide
We collect information you intentionally add to JobSurferAI.com, which may include job URLs and application details, LinkedIn connection exports, LinkedIn profile PDFs, resumes, search preferences, notes, API credentials, and messages you send us.
2. Google account and Workspace data
When you sign in with Google, JobSurferAI.com accesses your Google account identifier, verified email address, name, and optional profile image to create, secure, and display your account. Signing in does not grant JobSurferAI.com access to Google Calendar or Gmail.
If you separately connect Google Calendar, JobSurferAI.com may access read-only event information needed to identify and prepare for interviews, including event titles, dates and times, descriptions, locations, attendees, organizer details, and meeting links.
If you separately connect Gmail, JobSurferAI.com may access read-only recruiter and interview-related messages and threads, including senders, recipients, subjects, timestamps, message content, and related metadata. JobSurferAI.com does not send, modify, or delete email and does not create, modify, or delete calendar events.
3. How we use Google user data
We use Google user data only to provide the user-facing features you choose: authenticate your account, identify upcoming interviews, connect relevant recruiter or interview context, and generate interview-preparation materials for your private workspace. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, data brokerage, or sale.
If you request an AI-assisted interview brief, relevant Calendar or Gmail context may be sent to the AI provider you selected and connected, solely to generate that user-requested brief. We do not use Google Workspace API data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.
JobSurferAI.com’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. How we use other information
We use information to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the product; match tracked roles to network companies; save your workspace; operate integrations you request; communicate about beta access; and comply with legal obligations.
5. AI and extraction providers
When you connect an AI provider or Firecrawl key and use a related workflow, relevant request data may be sent to that provider under your account and its terms. For example, a LinkedIn profile PDF is sent to OpenAI only when you request a profile analysis. JobSurferAI.com does not control how a third-party provider handles data submitted through its API.
6. Storage and security
API credentials and Google OAuth tokens are encrypted before database storage. When connected interview workflows are enabled, relevant event fields, message excerpts, and preparation materials may be stored in your private workspace only as needed to provide those features. Resumes are configured for private object storage. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, and the product is currently a private beta rather than an enterprise compliance offering.
7. Sharing and human access
We do not sell your personal information or Google user data. We may use infrastructure and service providers to host, store, secure, and operate JobSurferAI.com. Google user data is transferred only as needed to provide a feature you request, with your consent, or when required for security or applicable law.
JobSurferAI.com personnel do not read Google email or calendar content except with your affirmative permission for support, when necessary to investigate abuse or a security incident, or when required by law.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain beta workspace information while your account or access remains active and as needed to operate the service. Disconnecting Google from the Integrations page removes the stored OAuth authorization from JobSurferAI.com and stops future access. You may request deletion of synchronized or derived workspace data by emailing hello@jobsurferai.com. Some limited records may be retained where legally required or necessary for security.
9. Your choices
Calendar and Gmail connections are optional and requested separately from account sign-in. You may decline those permissions, disconnect Google access, revoke access through your Google Account, stop using a provider key, or request deletion of your beta data at any time. Removing a permission may stop the related JobSurferAI.com feature.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the beta evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, direct notice.
11. Contact
Questions and privacy requests can be sent to hello@jobsurferai.com.
